The Lord taught us to pray. He told us to pray, “Our Father in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. Your kingdom come” (Luke 11:2) and “Give us day by day our daily bread. And forgive us our sins, For we also forgive everyone who is indebted to us. And do not lead us into temptation” (Luke 11:3–4). To ask that we not enter into temptation is the word to pray that we may not fall into hardship.
