Reading the Gospel of Luke is not a matter of learning only as knowledge the prayer and the parables Jesus taught. It is to know through the word what God accomplished in history in order to save sinners, and to believe in the heart the gospel of the water and the Spirit, which Jesus Christ completed with the baptism He received from John the Baptist, the Cross, and the resurrection. Volume 3 of the Gospel of Luke shows what the person who has believed in this salvation must ask for, and where he must set his heart as he lives. The person who has received the remission of sins does not rely on the wealth of the world or on his own righteousness, but hopes for the kingdom of God and serves the gospel together with the church.
